2 new short films on their way!

March 13, 2008

Announcing the impending arrival of 2 short films!

From the Young Persons’ Theatre Company “Invalid Debris”. Based on a true story ‘Invalid Debris’ takes you on a psychologically thrilling journey that deals with the horrors of ‘happy slapping’, the human condition of altering realities, the raw child of the human archetype when forced into the dark and a fight for justice in an unjust city.” I am a Producer on the film, shooting will take place this summer in London. Stay tuned for updates and a new website

From DDM Productions, a new short once again from the pen of Sam Holtmon & Daniel D Moses. Directed by Daniel D Moses. It’s another last minute production as I want to get it into 2 film festivals- Super Shorts and Raindance deadlines for which are beginning of May. The idea so far is about 2 crap buskers who fall foul of an evil Licensor and go on a cat and mouse journey involving an underground busker resistance movement….. stay with me here! Stay tuned for updates on this including the production blog

DDM is on IMDb!

December 26, 2007

My aim for 2008 was to get listed on Internet Movie Database, I appear to have done it a year early!! I am now the only Daniel Moses on IMDb! Which means that I can now rest on my laurels next year with my feet up…. well kind of…. I am under no impression that I have in fact “made it” in the industry due to 1 credit that was a few years ago, but it’s a start! In 2008, I hope to fill this up with credits, the only way you do that is by being involved with or making films that get screened at festivals. Got another 6 months to get “The Rabbi” screened somewhere and 2 films are being written so we can make them next year!

LED ZEPPELIN LIVE IN LONDON!

December 11, 2007

OK, I’ll keep it brief and in bite sized chunks so it’s easier to understand……
- Led Zeppelin played a one off reunion gig at the O2 Arena last night….
- It was for an Ahmet Ertegun (founder of Atlantic Records) tribute gig
- Other acts included Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Bill Wyman and the Rhythm Kings, Paulo Nuttini, Paul Rodgers and Foreigner
- I was there….
- You were not… (unless in fact you were, in which case I do apologize)
- To call it bloody fantastic would be putting it mildly….
- I was in the front, within the first 10 people of the stage….
- My ears are still hurting….
- Here are some pictures….. http://www.flickr.com/photos/danieldmoses/sets/72157603428442702/
- Here is some video from my phone

Scope "No Voice, No Choice" Campaign

November 15, 2007

A new project for DDM Productions, am working with the charity “Scope” on their “No Voice, No Choice” campaign until 2010! I will be producing campaigning resources focussing on people who use Communication Aid Devices. The campaign focusses on the lack of funding, awareness and progress regarding this equipment. A series of short films will be produced, showcasing on websites to highlight key topic areas.

The campaign began with a parliamentary launch at the Houses of Parliament yesterday, which took place below the house of commons and was attended by MP’s and Lords, with a review headed by John Bercow MP. As yet I am not permitted to use logos or show any footage- stills or video of the event, so stay tight!

"YPTC presents FLAMINGO BLUES"- Documentary online!

September 17, 2007

Flamingo Blues

In July 2007 the Young Person’s Theatre Company (YPTC) brought their latest production “Flamingo Blues”, a film noir inspired musical, to the stage of the Unicorn Theatre, London. “Flamingo Blues” is a sultry, jazz-infused murder mystery set in Chicago in the summer of 1952; with upbeat dance numbers, rich vocals and an intriguing story line in the best traditions of film noir.

The journey from rehearsals to stage was documented over 6 months with stills and film by photographer and filmmaker Daniel D Moses. The 53 minute documentary, which showed intensive rehearsals, learning processes, publicity on the BBC and ITV and final week of the production; formed the core of an EPK (Electronic Press Kit) for the production which also included the trailers, production stills, dance routines and music.
